Beaune is far from being the biggest town in Burgundy. But it is probably the most famous one and undoubitaly the most visited one. Beaune is indeed considered as the capital of the Burgundy great wines as many of the most prestigious wines of Burgundy are made around Beaune. Hospices de Beaune

But wine is not the only reason to visit Beaune. The town is also wolrd wide known for its Hospices. A somptuous gothic building that host one the marvels of flemish medieval art : Last Judgment by Rogier van der Weyden. On its own this painting makes the visit worthy. But the Hospices de Beaune is not the only building that will seduce you in Beaune. Take a walk in the old town and you’ll discover lovely houses and remaisn of the walls of the medieval town.
