The Pont de Bourgogne campsite in Chalon-sur-Saône is ideally located for cyclists. It lies along the Voie Bleue, which links Luxembourg to Lyon along the banks of the Moselle and Saône rivers. On the banks of the Saône, you can reach Tournus or Mâcon. In addition to the Voie Bleue, from Chalon you can also join the Voie Verte de Bourgogne du Sud (South Burgundy Green Way), which follows old railroad lines through the vineyards of Saône-et-Loire between Chalon-sur-Saône and Mâcon. On this itinerary, you’ll find sites to visit such as Cluny and the fortress of Berzé-le-Châtel.
To welcome cyclists stopping off at our campsite in Chalon-sur-Saône, we have accommodation specially designed for them. You can rent a single room in our chalet. For groups of more than two people, we also have tents for up to 6 people.

A vélo sur les rives de la Saône
The Voie Bleue is a 700 km long cycle route linking Luxembourg to Lyon, following the banks of the Moselle, the Canal des Vosges and the Saône. The Pont de Bourgogne campsite in Chalon sur Saône is located on the Voie Bleue route in Saône-et-Loire. From the campsite, you can explore southern Burgundy by following the course of the Saône. From the campsite, you can reach the pretty town of Tournus along the banks of the Saône (although the first part of the itinerary is a little far from the Saône). In Tournus, you can visit the superb Abbey of St-Philibert, a jewel of Romanesque art in Burgundy, or enjoy a meal in one of the gourmet restaurants of this pretty town nestling on the banks of the Saône.

The Voie Verte is the emblematic bicycle route of southern Burgundy. This 70 km-long route winds its way through the vineyards between Chalon-sur-Saône and Mâcon. It follows the old railroad lines, offering a flat route accessible to cyclists of all abilities. Along the way, don’t forget to stop and admire the villages of Buxy or Saint-Gengoux-le-National, the Château de Cormatin, Cluny and the remains of its majestic abbey, or the Château de Berzé-le-Châtel, which watches over the land of Lamartine from its heights.

The Pont de Bourgogne campsite has accommodation that’s just right for cyclists. On the campsite, you can rent a tent for up to 6 people. Ideal for groups stopping off in Chalon-sur-Saône. These tents don’t have a bathroom, but they’re just a stone’s throw from the campsite’s sanitary block.
For couples or single cyclists, we also offer 2-person rooms in our chalet. These rooms can be rented with or without bathroom.

At the Pont de Bourgogne campsite, we have bicycles available for hire for a ride in the Côte Chalonnaise or along the banks of the Saône. Thanks to our partner La Bourgogne à Vélo, you can also rent electric bikes at the campsite. Our partner will bring them directly to the campsite or to the starting point of your ride if you wish. Please ask at the campsite reception for further information.

Our campsite is easily accessible by bike thanks to the various cycle paths linking Chalon-sur-Saone: Voie Verte, Voie Bleue, etc. To get to the campsite or take a stroll around Chalon, you can download the map of cycling routes in and around Chalon, or click on the photo opposite.

On the outskirts of Chalon-sur-Saône, the Pont de Bourgogne campsite is ideally located for visiting southern Burgundy. From the campsite, you can go for walks in the vineyards of the Côte Chalonnaise, discover Beaune and its Hospices with their glazed roofs, or climb to the top of the Roche de Solutré. Not forgetting Tournus and its Romanesque abbey church, Cluny and the medieval hilltop village of Brancion.
