Camping du Pont de Bourgogne in Chalon-sur-Saône is a 3-star campsite with 100 pitches in Burgundy (84 camping pitches and 16 rentals). On the banks of the River Saône, it is just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre. Chalon-sur-Saône is a pretty town in southern Burgundy with a wealth of restaurants and a museum of photography (admission is free, I must say!). On its main square, opposite the cathedral, a market is held on Friday and Saturday mornings. A great way to discover some of Burgundy’s gourmet specialities.
Easily accessible from the A6 motorway (exit 26 Chalon Sud or 25 Chalon Nord), the Pont de Bourgogne campsite is a perfect stopover on the road to the South. Ideal for a stopover of one or two nights, it also lends itself to longer stays for those wishing to discover the vine-covered hills of southern Burgundy, the Hospices de Beaune or the Roche de Solutré. Burgundy has a lot to offer.

Camping Pont de Bourgogne offers 84 camping pitches for your stay in Saône-et-Loire with your caravan, tent or camper van. These pitches are spacious and green. In the first half of the campsite, these pitches are separated by hedges to ensure privacy. At the other end of the campsite, you’ll find open pitches separated by large expanses of grass. These pitches are also shaded to a greater or lesser extent, depending on your preferences. So there’s something for everyone at camping le Pont de Bourgogne.
To make your stay in Burgundy at Chalon-sur-Saône as pleasant as possible, these camping pitches have an electric hook-up (10A). They also give you access to two sanitary blocks. Both blocks are new and perfectly maintained.

The pleasure of life in the open air without giving up everyday comforts? It’s possible with the chalets and mobile homes you’ll find at our campsite in Chalon-sur-Saône. These accommodations can sleep from 4 to 12 people. The campsite has two beautiful wooden chalets with terraces overlooking the river Saône. In addition to the insulating qualities of wood, these wooden chalets blend in perfectly with their surroundings. In its group version, one of these chalets can sleep 12 people in rooms with individual bathrooms. Ideal for sports or family gatherings.
The Pont de Bourgogne campsite also has two 6-person tents for motorcyclists and cyclists who don’t want to pitch their tents for one night.

Just a few kilometres from the motorway exit on the A6, the Pont de Bourgogne campsite is an ideal stopover on your holiday route, halfway between the north and south of France.

Between Voie Verte and Voie Bleue
The Pont de Bourgogne campsite in Chalon-sur-Saône is ideally located for cyclists. It lies along the Voie Bleue, which runs from Luxembourg to Lyon along the banks of the Moselle and Saône rivers. From the banks of the Saône, you can cycle to Tournus or Mâcon. As well as the Voie Bleue, from Chalon you can also join the Voie Verte de Bourgogne du Sud, which follows the route of the old railway lines through the vineyards of Saône-et-Loire between Chalon-sur-Saône and Mâcon. Along the way, you’ll find places to visit such as Cluny and the fortress of Berzé-le-Châtel.
To welcome cyclists stopping off at our campsite in Chalon-sur-Saône, we have accommodation specially designed for them. It is possible to rent a single room in our chalet. For groups of more than two people, we also have tents for up to 6 people.

Between Beaune and Mâcon, it’s the ideal starting point for discovering Burgundy. Just a few minutes from the campsite, you’ll find prestigious vineyards and superb scenery along the Burgundy Wine Route. Burgundy also boasts a rich heritage, with the Romanesque abbey of Tournus, Cluny and the remains of its majestic abbey, the medieval village of Brancion and the château of Cormatin. Not forgetting the emblematic Roche de Solutré, which stands proudly in the south of the region. So many places to fall under the spell of during your camping holiday in Southern Burgundy.
