Camping du Pont de Bourgogne in Chalon-sur-Saône is a 3-star, 100-place campsite in Burgundy (87 camping pitches and 13 rentals). On the banks of the Saône, it’s just a few minutes’ walk from the town center. Chalon-sur-Saône is a pretty town in southern Burgundy, with a wealth of restaurants and a photography museum (admission is free, I must say!). On its main square, opposite the cathedral, a market is held on Friday and Saturday mornings. A pleasant way to discover some of Burgundy’s gourmet specialties.

Easily accessible from theA6 freeway (exit 26 Chalon Sud or 25.2 Chalon Centre), the Pont de Bourgogne campsite is a perfect stopover on the road to the South. Ideal for a one- or two-night stopover, it also lends itself to longer stays for those wishing to discover the vine-covered hills of southern Burgundy, the Hospices de Beaune or the Roche de Solutré. Burgundy has a lot to offer.

The Pont de Bourgogne campsite offers camping pitches, comfortable rental solutions (4-person mobile homes and two chalets for 6 and 12 people) and three tents for up to 6 people. Pets are not allowed in rentals.

The campsite does not have a charging station for electric cars. You can find them (for a fee) at Carrefour rue Thomas Dumorey (2.2 km from the campsite) or at Decathlon rue René Cassin (2 km).

Camping Pont de Bourgogne offers 87 camping pitches for your caravan, tent or camper van. The pitches are spacious and green. In the first half of the campsite, these pitches are separated by hedges to preserve everyone’s privacy. At the other end of the campsite, you’ll find open pitches separated by large expanses of grass. These pitches are also shaded to a greater or lesser extent, depending on individual tastes. There’s something for everyone at Pont de Bourgogne.

To make your stay in the Burgundy town of Chalon-sur-Saône as pleasant as possible, these campsites are equipped with a 10A electricity supply. They also give you access to three perfectly maintained sanitary blocks, including one recently built in 2025.

The pleasure of outdoor living without giving up your everyday comforts? It’s possible with the chalets and mobile homes you’ll find at our campsite in Chalon-sur-Saône. These accommodations can sleep from 4 to 12 people. In particular, the campsite boasts two beautiful wooden chalets with terraces overlooking the Saône River. In addition to the insulating qualities of wood, these wooden chalets blend in perfectly with their surroundings. In its group version, one of these chalets can accommodate 12 people in rooms with individual bathrooms. Ideal for sports or family gatherings.

The Pont de Bourgogne campsite also has three 6-person tents for bikers and cyclists who don’t want to have to pitch their tent for a night.

Between the Green Route and the Blue Route

The Pont de Bourgogne campsite in Chalon-sur-Saône is ideally located for cyclists. It lies along the Voie Bleue, which links Luxembourg to Lyon along the banks of the Moselle and Saône rivers. On the banks of the Saône, you can reach Tournus or Mâcon. In addition to the Voie Bleue, from Chalon you can also join the Voie Verte de Bourgogne du Sud (South Burgundy Green Way), which follows old railroad lines through the vineyards of Saône-et-Loire between Chalon-sur-Saône and Mâcon. On this itinerary, you’ll find sites to visit such as Cluny and the fortress of Berzé-le-Châtel.

To welcome cyclists stopping off at our campsite in Chalon-sur-Saône, we have specially designed accommodation for them. You can rent a single room in our chalet. For groups of more than two people, we also have tents for up to 6 people.
